How did you get started in your field?
I started in sales with NCR. I grew to be pretty good at sales, but they made me the division sales trainer when they found out I was much better at teaching others how to do it effectively.

What 3 words describe you best, personally or professionally?
Honest to a fault (4 words)

What did you want to be when you grew up? OR If you didn't do what you do now, what profession would you choose?
If I had the choice, I would have been a professional athlete probably racing bicycles in the Tour de France.

What is a piece of advice you would share with emerging professionals?
Find the thing you really like to do and focus on that.

What is one of your greatest accomplishments?
Traveling all over the world conducting training sessions including a session at the ATD National Leaders conference.

What are you looking forward to the most at this year's conference?
Reconnecting with friends.

What is a talent you have that is unrelated to the work you do?
Riding bicycles at a very fast speed (even for an old guy).

What excites you most about the topic you will be sharing at the conference?
Great trainers know that people learn by doing and know how to make it happen. I get excited when I help others really learn a new skill they need to succeed through the use of simple, easy but effective hands-on training.
