About Brent Carter

Brent Carter is a Leadership Consultant, Executive Coach and Master Facilitator who engages with organizations and leaders to expand their capabilities, improve their effectiveness, break through barriers and increase their overall performance.

Brent has extensive experience in coaching leaders at multiple levels, from C-suite to first-line supervisor, in multiple industries. He is adept at working with teams, helping them reveal issues that impact their cohesiveness and productivity, while leveraging their strengths to achieve unprecedented results. His facilitation in groups is engaging, challenging, inspiring and pragmatic.

Brent takes a consultative approach in working with organizations to fully understand their needs and partner with them to identify solutions that bolster their success. With 25+ years of leadership development experience and specializations in leader assimilation and emotional intelligence, Brent has a passion for helping leaders become the next best version of themselves. He has worked with for-profit companies in retail, insurance, banking, entertainment, architecture and other industries. He has also worked extensively in education (K-12 and higher ed), non-profit, healthcare and faith-based organizations. He believes that values-based leadership is critical in any organization.

In addition to working independently, Brent is a member of the Leadership Excelleration, Inc. consulting/coaching team. Prior to joining the LEI team, he provided executive coaching and team development for Fifth Third Bank, where he also led the Talent Management function for several years.

Brent is certified in 360 assessment instruments including CCL’s Benchmarks, Profiler for Executives and Managers (PDI), Leadership Practices Inventory (Wiley), Emotional Competence Inventory (Korn Ferry), DiSC Profile and Devine Inventory. He facilitates development sessions on a number of topics, including Strengths, Leadership Styles, Emotional Intelligence, Conflict Management, Performance Coaching, Change Management and many others. Brent graduated from the Ball State University School of Business, holds a leadership coaching certification from Case Western Reserve University, is a member of Forbes Coaches Council and is a Certified Master for The Leadership Challenge.
