Melissa Ambach is a Human Resources professional with over 20 years of experience in learning and development with Great American Insurance Group. In her various roles, she has held responsibility for educating, communicating and driving best practices in talent management and development. Much of her work in recent years has focused on attracting, engaging, developing, retaining and growing Great American’s bench strength for an industry facing impending workforce shortages. She has been part of creating and building several early career programs, including the organization’s leadership development program. Most recently, Melissa championed the three-year evolution taking Great American from a traditional, formal, rating-based, annual review process into the new world of Performance Management with informal, future-oriented, ratingless, ongoing Check-Ins.

Alan is Owner and Principal Consultant at Xcelerate Partners, a Cincinnati based, management consulting firm. He has over 17 years of experience in software development, with a background in software engineering, process improvement, and leadership development, across multiple industries and geographies. Alan has over 10 years’ experience working on Agile related initiatives, with the last 7 years exclusively focused on helping organizations transform their cultures, and adopt more innovative and value driven, behaviors and software development practices. Sought after for his Agile expertise, Alan was one of a small number of thought leaders asked by the Project Management Institute (PMI), to sit on the standards setting committee for their Agile Certified Practitioner exam (PMI-ACP), which launched in 2012. He has personally trained over 1,000 professionals who support the development of software within their organizations. And, Vicki loves to create new programs that offer an opportunity for individuals to challenge themselves and grow both personally and professionally.

Vicki's been with Phillips Edison & Company 20 ½ years and in the L&D field a little over 12 years. She's a certified facilitator for Everything DiSC and The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team. Jenna is the Head of Research at the Human Capital Institute (HCI). She received her M.S. and Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Wright State University and her B.S. degree from Ursinus College. Because of her passions for improving people’s experience in the workplace and helping others find meaning and purpose from work, Jenna is training to become a certified professional and executive coach in an International Coach Federation (ICF) Accredited Coach Training Program at the Naveen Jindal School of Management at the University of Texas, Dallas. Over the past five years at HCI, she has authored over 40 research papers on a variety of talent management topics such as coaching, leadership development, talent acquisition, and employee engagement. Jenna lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with her husband, son, and two dogs.

Cara has a MA with an emphasis in Workforce Development from The Ohio State University and a BA in Journalism from the University of Kentucky. In addition to working full-time, Cara is a PhD student in Educational Studies with an emphasis in Learning Technologies. She has worked in learning and development for more than 10 years as a trainer, curriculum development, learning management systems administrator, and instructional designer. Her L&D experience includes and various non-profit and higher education organizations. She serves as President-Elect of the Central Ohio Association for Talent and Development (ATD), Community Manager of the Training Learning and Development Community (TLDC), and co-host of the Instructional ReDesign podcast.

A 24-year veteran of Hixson’s leadership team, Beth has devoted her career to building a strong culture of continuous improvement within the firm. More recently, in addition to her C/I focus, she assumed responsibility for the ongoing development of Hixson’s staff development systems. This includes leading Hixson’s Continuing Education Council in their mission to deliver effective learning & development opportunities to associates through Hixson University.
