How many of us in a Learning Leader Role have experienced a conversation that ended with “What we need is a [better] Leadership Development Program!”? . . . and then, all eyes turn to us.

Some of us may react with pure excitement. . . while others might feel extreme dread! The sheer volume of information out there can be overwhelming.

If you’ve ever been the one with all eyes on you to deliver Leadership Development, you won’t want to miss our next Learning Leaders Forum where we’ll tackle this BIG topic head on.

An acceleration in leadership attrition due to Baby Boomer retirements is putting stress on many organization’s leadership structures, including replenishment of the well-heeled talent that is (and will be) walking out the door in the near future.

For many organizations, developing leadership talent is THE critical issue for sustained growth and success. The good news is that we as Learning Leaders are in a prime position to respond to this challenge with sound recommendations and actions. Our open forum format is built on the practice of mutual learning and the collective genius that emerges from sharing our questions, comments and experiences with our Learning Leader peers in an informal setting. Collectively, we are the experts, so let’s learn from each other! Questions we’ll consider are:

  • What IS Leadership Development really focused on achieving? (and what are the implications of the various answers to this question?)
  • What are the approaches to Leadership Development that we’ve seen or experienced in action?
  • What in our experience has worked? (i.e. examples of brilliant program design or execution) ----- Has not worked? (i.e. war stories or lessons learned)
  • What resources have proven themselves to be the most valuable?
We invite you to join us and add your voice to this month’s conversation. Below are the details . . .

PREWORK: Click here for a recent white paper from Profiles International that will serve to prime the pump for our discussion. We look forward to seeing you there!
