The topic for our next Learning Leaders Forum is going to be Performance Management Practices & Trends. 

This is a follow-on to our discussion last month on Performance Support. While not always the center of our universe as Talent Development or Training Leaders, in an ideal world our work and the Performance Management System would be designed to work hand-in-glove towards the same results for our organizations. 

While tried and true systems like 360 Degree Assessments or manager’s performance reviews are at the heart of current practice in many firms, some pioneers are exploring new alternatives and redesigning their systems for greater impact. By all accounts, this is expected to be an area of rapid and radical change over the next 5 years. We’ll explore how these changes relate to us in our role as Learning Leaders.

Questions we’ll consider:

  • What are the goals of Performance Management and what is the connection to learning and development?
  • How do each of our company’s handle Performance Management today?
  • What are some performance management trends that might be worth paying attention to?
  • How can Training and Development enhance Performance Management?

Our open forum format is built on the practice of mutual learning and the collective genius that emerges from sharing our questions, comments and experiences with our Learning Leader peers in an informal setting. We invite you to add your voice to the conversation.
