How often does it happen that you’re able to simply “plug and play” a program for a client? Probably, never. Each client and each engagement is unique, meaning that we consultants must listen carefully and then tweak programs in our repertoire to fit the current situation. We might call this “tailoring” a program, similar to tailoring an off-the-rack suit to fit more precisely.

On the other hand, we may discover that the client’s need is beyond our capacity – or interest – and so should be referred to a colleague. Are there guidelines that can help us make the right decision? And, if we proceed with tailoring, are there best practices that can help us be efficient and effective with the process?

Please join us to explore the art of responding to the client’s real needs.
