Learning Leaders Forum: Exploration and Application of the CPLP® Credential

How do we as learning leaders know that we know? How do those who are deciding to hire us or offer a choice assignment know that we know?

ASTD national has developed a competency model as a framework for measuring our knowledge and experience. At the national level of membership, they have also provided a wealth of resources in one place….the website. Last month we looked at how we perceive the value in attaining the CPLP® (Certified Professional in Learning and Performance) credential. 

This month, we’ll look at the value of membership in ASTD. To that end, if you are a national member, please come prepared to share one area of the website where your membership really pays off. Ideally, this website link would contain free resources for members. 

Nancy Parsley, forum facilitator, will share information on how the Career Navigator works, a useful member feature of the website where you can measure what you know against national standards. Whether you are a member of ASTD National or not, you will be challenged by this forum discussion!
