Give Back to Your Profession by Volunteering

Please consider volunteering with GCATD to help us deliver outstanding member value!

As fall approaches, we are preparing for our annual Board of Directors’ elections. We are looking for individuals interested in giving back to the profession while practicing leadership skills in a friendly environment.

The Board positions we need to fill during this election include:

  • President-Elect
(a 3-year commitment – one as President-Elect, one as President, and one as Past President) and
  • Vice President of Finance
(we have a bookkeeper that does the day-to-day bookkeeping and monthly reporting so this position is oversight and advising the Board on monthly financial trends and status).
If you are interested in having a conversation about either of these opportunities, please contact Pam Nintrup.

As Randi Sandlin, our current Conference Chair, will be stepping into the President’s role next year, we are also looking for a 2017 Conference Chair. While this is an appointed position, it is also a Board position because it is our most important fundraiser of the year!

Please consider giving back to your professional organization, GCATD, by becoming a volunteer! For details about the roles of President-Elect, VP of Finance and Conference Chair, download our Chapter Bylaws.

Help Us Plan For The Upcoming Year

By Giving Us Your Feedback

GCATD’s mission is to be the “go to” resource for connecting workplace leaders and sharing best practices in talent development. As we plan for the future, we look forward to hearing from you. Your feedback on your membership experience and ideas for future programming and resources will prove helpful to us as we prepare for the upcoming year.

We've extended the survey for a few days to give everyone an opportunity to tell us what they think.

Click here to complete this 20 question survey by Thursday, 9/8. Those completing the survey will be entered into a drawing and could win a FREE REGISTRATION to a monthly Chapter Meeting in the upcoming year.

We look forward to seeing you at a GCATD event this fall. For a complete list of events and to learn more about getting involved with the Chapter, visit gcatd.org.

Only 2 more days until the survey ends!

Be Sure to Donate to the FreeStore FoodBank at EPIC Innovations

If you've attended our annual fall conference the last few years, you may have noticed the FreeStore Foodbank's presence as well as their various enterprises including Cincinnati COOKS! and FeedingWorks. This year is no different.

If you plan on attending the conference, and we hope you do, you will notice the recognizable barrels prominently displayed in the main lobby. This year we'd like to encourage EVERYONE to contribute.

And to sweeten the pot (or barrel!) anyone that contributes, big or small, besides knowing that the generous act of donating a non-perishable item provides more than 20 million meals annually to our hungry neighbors in the Tri-State area, will be entered in to win a prize!

Some of the most-needed donations* include:

  • Canned meat products (tuna, chicken, ham, spaghetti with meatballs, chili with meat and beans, beef stew, etc.)
  • Peanut butter
  • Canned vegetables and fruits
  • Canned soups
  • Macaroni and cheese
  • Personal care items (soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, feminine hygiene products, disposable diapers)

*Please, no glass items
