2017 GCATD Fall Conference

The GCATD Conference Committee is excited to announce our 2017 EPIC Innovations conference and to invite you to submit a proposal to facilitate a 1-hour breakout session.

This year’s conference will be filled with innovative ideas, creative activities, and activity-based, engaging learning – a place where you will want to be. Our goal is to share best, relevant practices and leading edge trends along three tracks: Innovative Delivery, Innovative Leadership, and Innovative Design.

The conference will be held on Friday October 6, 2017 at the Savannah Center in West Chester, OH.

  • Proposal deadline: Friday, April 30, 2017

  • Theme: GCATD Presents: EPIC Innovations - Sharing Best Practices in Talent Development and Learning
  • Keys for successful proposals: The sessions should include state of the art trends, thought provoking ideas and techniques, active participation and usable handouts for participants.

Chapter Members, Coming Soon:
Align Your Memberships at The ATD Store

The chapter has some exciting news to share! The GCATD is currently participating in a program with ATD to make chapter membership available on the online ATD Store. 

Through this program, we hope to create a one-stop-shop for those customers interested in purchasing chapter and ATD membership. Additionally, the availability of chapter membership on the ATD Store will allow customers to align chapter and ATD membership end dates.

The chapter will go live on the Store shortly. As part of this process, our member roster will be uploaded to the ATD database so that ATD may identify those who have current chapter memberships. If you do not have an existing single sign-on (SSO) account with ATD, a username will be created and shared with you by email. You may use this username and your selected password to purchase products from the site, register for webinars, and more.

The pricing structure for some GCATD events will soon change. 

Beginning June 1st the cost of GCATD Webinars and Special Interest Groups (SIGs) will change.  Webinars and SIGs will be free to chapter members. Non-members are welcome to attend these events, and will be charged a small fee.

Members, you will now log into the website to take advantage of the free member rate for both SIGs and Webinars. Don't know how to log in? No problem! Email Betsy Young at for help.

GCATD Met Our 2016 Chapter Affiliation Requirements (CARE)!

What does that mean? Our chapter successfully met all 18 required CARE elements and is recognized for 100 percent achievement of CARE. 

Based on our reported joint membership percentage, GCATD is also recognized as a Chapter Membership STAR with joint membership between 40-45 percent.

Every year, ATD recognizes the value chapters provide to our members through well run chapter programs, services, and exceptional operations is the result of the individual time, resources, innovation, thought, and dedication you and your team contribute.
