Ten out of 10 business leaders will say talent recruitment and retention is harder then ever. The labor market is dramatically changing and how employees view success is also changing. Employees want their work to be integrated with their ideal life. They want purpose and purposeful employment. As talent development leaders, we need to understand the psychology of success within our workforce to help our organizations recruit and retain top talent who can be on purpose and purposefully employed. But how?

Join local Purpose Guide, John McCarthy, in this integrative session when we will answer that question as we:

    • Unpack the buzz word “Purpose”
    • Understand the top 5 changes in our work world
    • Learn practical steps on how to develop purposeful employment opportunity.

Many organizations are being challenged with converting traditional in-person training into virtual formats. How can we identify the learner's needs, maintain the culture of our organization, and offer engaging virtual training?

Join us for our next Dayton area workshop at the Business Solutions Center when we discuss how the "new normal" is changing what traditional training looks like and walk through ways to transition an in-person course to a virtual one.

    In this session we will:

    • Practice converting a traditional in-person training into a virtual one.
    • Learn about different tools that can help keep learners engaged.
    • Create a plan for you to convert an upcoming training program.

Workshop activities will be facilitated by Bob Riess, co-leader of the Dayton Group, and presented by Kim Breeze, Learning and Development Specialist, Wright-Patt Credit Union.

GCATD presents another hybrid event where you can choose how to attend, either in-person or virtually.

As a talent development leader, do you want to develop a high performance/high retention culture? Of course you do! Most HR leaders are focused on recruitment, but what about helping to create purposeful employment opportunities with those in our organization currently.

Here is the tough news: We can’t create a high performance/retention culture with a one size fits all employee relations strategy.

Here is the great news: With innovative people processes, our employees will not only be in the right seat of the bus, but in a very comfortable seat where they are thrilled to be riding and motivated to ride with gusto for longer.

Join local Purpose Guide, John McCarthy, in this integrative session when we will learn together on how to:

    • Empower employees to understand their purpose and communicate that to their organization
    • Create a partnership culture where the organization is also held accountable for what they say they are going to do
    • Learn practical steps on how to develop an irresistible high performance culture.
