Consultants Forum - Another Look at Learning: Formal, Informal, Live, Virtual, Blended—Oh My!

July continues our two-part series on Another Look at Learning.

June’s discussion focused on training adult learners of today. This month we’ll be taking a look at the what and how of delivering training for effective learning, including:

• formal and informal: which is more effective for the various types of learning situations
• traditional/in-person: when is it essential, effective methodologies, enhancing learner engagement, providing high content vs. client insistence on doing so in less time   
• virtual: synchronous/asynchronous; online, CD, teleconference, webinars, podcasts, Youtube, TED, social media, phone apps, etc. Plus, achieving the same objectives as with in-person training.
• blended learning: how to make the most of it for all concerned
