Organizational Development (OD) SIG: Workforce Planning Best Practices

In this session, Vic Clesceri will facilitate a discussion on Workforce Planning and how it is foundational to Organizational Development (OD) and Learning and Development (L&D).

Workforce Planning is the process of analyzing, forecasting, and planning workforce supply and demand, assessing gaps, and determining target talent management interventions to ensure that organizations have the right people, with the right skills, in the right places, at the right time. However, Workforce Planning goes beyond just HR strategy. Vic will demonstrate how Workforce Planning informs Talent Strategy, leading to effective OD and L&D. Convener: Saleemah Green

Vic Clesceri is the Founder of The Management Sherpa, an OD consultancy and coaching firm specializing in Talent Management. Vic helps organizations develop Talent Management strategies and create coaching and learning cultures. Vic’s 30+ years of corporate experience, combined with 20+ years of educational experience as a visiting professor, have provided opportunities to engage clients in a variety of sectors – for-profit, nonprofit, academia, and governmental. Vic’s workplaces are the boardrooms, conference rooms, and classrooms inside organizations. In his spare time, Vic is an avid hiker and backpacker and enjoys traveling with his wife.
