Workshop: Effective Training with Subject Matter Experts

Let’s be real – Learning & Development professionals can’t know everything. Sometimes the Subject Matter Expert knows best, but how do you ensure SME-led training is effective and lives up to the quality you and your organization expect? Ashley Moorman, a Learning & Development Manager for Wright-Patt Credit Union, shares how her organization created their own Standard Operating Procedure for choosing and building relationships with SMEs while also maintaining the high standards for training.

Throughout this session, you’ll explore how you can layout expectations when it comes to SME-led training as you:

• Weigh the benefits and risks of SME-led training courses.
• Discuss the importance of having a strong, collaborative relationship with your SMEs.
• Start creating your own SME Standard Operating Procedure.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
Ashley Moorman has over 15 years of experience working at Wright-Patt Credit Union, where she is currently a Learning & Development Manager, leading the New Hire and Leadership Enrichment Training Programs. Prior to stepping into her current role, she spent 6 years as a Learning & Development Specialist, developing and delivering training to all levels of Partner-employees within WPCU. Ashley enjoys teaching and helping others develop themselves and succeed in their own careers.
