Company leaders can cite hundreds of reasons why they aren’t successful, from a weak economy to stiff competition. Everyone has an excuse.
This program gives you answers. Developed by Pete Luongo, former CEO of The Berry Company, this program presents a behavior-driven model for high performance that focuses on hiring great people, a commitment to support them, well-defined expectations, effective feedback and acceptance of total accountability for individual performance.
He shares his insights and experiences as a true leader, as well as his “10 Truths” that provide solutions to problems leaders face every day.
Curt Coffman, co-author of the book First Break All the Rules introduces Pete and his book, 10 Truths About Leadership…It’s Not Just About Winning. As Curt and others talk about Pete and his impact on them and their business, you will get a glimpse into the 10 Truths about leadership that make Pete and his philosophy special.
Now that you have watched this video, here’s a question we invite you to ponder: What commitment can you make, simply because it is the right thing to and not because you will receive recognition or reward, to make people in your company, your community, and your life feel valued, respected, and part of something special? (Passing is always allowed, and saying there is no such commitment I can make – or at least none at this time – is a perfectly acceptable option.)
- Create a powerful organization that is capable of top performance.
- Embrace accountability for individual performance without fear.
- Understand the role of a leader, as told from the perspective of a former CEO.
