Knowing how to adapt your leadership style is a key skill for successfully empowering team members.

This session will walk you through how to gauge your team members’ development level for a given goal or task so that you can align your approach to lead them effectively. By being adaptive versus static, your team will feel more supported, motived, and confident in their work.

Learning objectives:

• Uncover the need for adapting your leadership style.
• Identify the four development levels people navigate through as they work to accomplish different goals or tasks.
• Recognize the four leadership styles that can be leveraged.
• Discover how to adapt to the leadership style that will be most effective for your team member based on their development level for a particular goal or task

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR

Josh Donath is a Learning & Development Specialist at General Electric Credit Union. In his career he has trained employees ranging from front line workers to executive directors on topics encompassing managing others, DiSC, inclusion, change management, sales, navigating conflict, and situational leadership.

He particularly enjoys creating a community of learning in his trainings that equips others with the tools and confidence needed to make a difference in their work.
