    This is perfect.  We just finished a week of learning so I think we're going to position it more of taking a chance to pause for bite sized learning.  These would fit perfectly with the communication I'm drafting.

    Here's a couple of options:

    • Read an industry article, blog, magazine or a few chapters of a book you've been wanting to read
    • Take a few minutes to self evaluate: what have you accomplished this year, what did you want to accomplish, where to do you want to focus the remainder of the year (Self-learning)

    September 14 is “Marketing’s Global Day of Learning.”  There will be traditional training available, but I wanted to put together a plan for our team that included a few suggestions beyond formal training.  Here are the ideas I have so far:

    • Job shadow someone who works on a different tactic, team, or department than you
    • Meet with your mentor to outline next steps on one of your goals
    • Do an informational interview
    • Register for an event with a local chapter of an industry organization (AMA, NEW, PMI, APICS, etc)

    What other types of activities would you include outside webinars, workshops, and presentations?
